Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance

The County provides Long-Term Disability Insurance for benefits eligible employees through Cigna. This insurance policy is effective on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment in a benefits eligible status.

When covered employee experience an illness or injury lasting six consecutive calendar months, they may be entitled to a benefit in the amount of seventy percent (70%) of their compensation on the January 1 of the year preceding disability. Please refer to the certificate booklet "Group Disability Income Insurance Policy" for detailed information.
